Get Real
An American
Family For The New Millennium
(1999-2000)
The last
episode of Get Real aired April
12, 2000 with no guarantee that
we would see the last two
episodes that were filmed. Get
Real was cancelled in May, so we
had to say goodbye to the trials
and tribulations of The Green
family.
The cast
has moved on to other things;
Anne's career was jump started in
the summer of 2001 with her
starring role in Garry Marshall's
(My ALL TIME favorite director!) The
Princess Diaries which
grossed over 100Million in the
United States alone. Jon Tenney
starred on the short lived series
Kristin and has appeared on
stage, movies and on the
Thanksgiving episode of Will
& Grace in 2001. Eric
Christian Olsen appeared in Pearl
Harbor in a small part and had a
much larger role in Not
Another Teen Movie.
 Mitch and
Mary Green fell in love in high
school. When Mary became pregnant
they decided to stay together and
went on to have two more children
before the age of twenty-two.
Most teenage pregnancies don't
turn into long lasting marriages,
but this one did. Now they are
the parents of three teenagers;
all trying not to make the same
mistakes their parents made and
live their own lives. This is Get
Real, a television drama that
shows you life is not perfect and
just about every family has
problems.
 
 "Get
Real" premiered on the FOX
Network on September 8th, 1999 to
very mixed reviews. Some hated
it, some liked it and others
seemed on the fence. I personally
loved it. I do admit that if Jon
Tenney was not on it I may have
never watched it, but I did and I
thought it was very smart and
very funny. I guess we'll have to
see if this one survives the
cruel world that is network
television and I hope it does,
they all deserve it.

I took it down for awhile after
FOX emailed me and told me I
couldn't use anything but my
screen caps ( I do understand
that this is their product/property,
but I was still mad and hurt) and
since I refuse to just sit by and
not have this great show
promoted, I have created this
simple version of the page.
